Start with the room, not the children’s-club photograph

The useful first question is what happens after bedtime. A separate bedroom lets adults use a living area; an open-plan family room may leave everyone sharing the same sleeping space. Check where the cot fits, whether curtains separate beds or there is an actual door, and whether a kettle or kitchen is available in the room category you choose. A room that sleeps four does not automatically provide four separate beds.

Almyra: less equipment to carry, but reserve the details

Almyra offers Baby Go Lightly advance ordering and childcare divided into age groups, including care for infants. That makes it worth comparing when carrying less equipment is a priority. Ask for the specific cot, feeding or bathing items you need and the cost of each service. Its published club schedule excludes Wednesdays and does not establish year-round daily operation. For a winter trip, confirm the service on your dates rather than assuming the summer programme continues.

Elysium: a crèche is different from a kids’ club

Angels Crèche is for ages 4–36 months and is a paid, pre-booked drop-off service. The published arrangements cover April to October with at least 24 hours’ notice; the rest of the year is subject to availability. If a few child-free hours are central to your holiday, request the sessions before committing to the stay. A hotel having a kids’ club does not mean that an infant can join it.

Elysia Park: compare apartment convenience with the location

Elysia Park offers baby equipment on request, subject to availability, and apartment accommodation can make breakfast and early meals easier. The trade-off is the inland location: the coast is an outing rather than a beach outside the door. Match the unit’s bedroom layout to your nap routine and confirm any stairs, balcony access and lift route. Do not assume equipment listed for the complex is already inside your particular apartment.

Make pool heating and childcare separate checks

A hotel can accept toddlers while reserving a particular indoor pool for adults or limiting family sessions. Ask about the exact pool and your child’s age, especially outside summer. For outdoor water play, consider how far you will carry a wet child back to the room. Our heated-pool comparison separates the pool being heated from the hotel merely having an indoor swimming facility.

A manageable day from a harbour-side base

Try one short waterfront outing after breakfast, return for a nap, then choose an early meal close to the hotel. Keep the first few days reversible: a saved place is an option, not an obligation. The archaeological sites involve outdoor surfaces, while an eight-hour excursion gives less control over rest stops. Choose a longer trip only after checking the operator’s minimum age, seat arrangements and room for a pushchair. The shorter Blue Lagoon product in our comparison explicitly excludes under-threes, so it is not a toddler recommendation.

Before flying: confirm the things you cannot improvise

Get written confirmation of the cot and room occupancy, child seat for the airport journey and any essential childcare session. Pack enough familiar supplies for delays rather than assuming the first shop will be open on arrival. A cot request, a family room booking and a transfer reservation are three separate arrangements. Keeping them together in your saved trip makes changing devices or sharing plans with another adult much easier.
