Kato Paphos · HOTEL GUIDE
Almyra: plan your stay
Almyra combines a contemporary hotel setting with a useful position on the Paphos seafront. It is worth comparing when one person wants pool time, another wants to explore, and neither wants every outing to begin with a car journey.

A good fit for
Families and couples who want a contemporary hotel near the harbour-side promenade.
Worth weighing up
Adults-only spa areas sit within a hotel that also welcomes families; the whole property is not adults-only.
The location: seafront rather than secluded
Almyra is on Poseidonos Avenue, next to Annabelle and along the promenade south of the harbour. This is a practical base for combining the waterfront with the archaeological park. It is less suited to someone whose main aim is a remote beach escape. Coral Bay is a different part of the coast, while the Old Town is inland; plan those as outings rather than extensions of a quick harbour stroll.
Pools and quieter corners
The hotel has five freshwater pools, including family and infant facilities as well as adults-only pool and spa areas. The useful distinction is where each member of your party can spend time. A family can share the same hotel as a couple seeking quieter sunbathing, but access restrictions still apply within the property. Ask about seasonal opening and heating if a particular pool is central to your plans.
Travelling with children
Children’s clubs cover different age groups, and the Baby Go Lightly service allows families to arrange baby equipment in advance. These services can reduce what you carry, but availability, booking arrangements and charges need checking for your dates. Write down the equipment you actually need, especially sleeping and transport items, and get confirmation rather than assuming a general family-friendly label includes everything.
Rooms, meals and the right comparison
Compare room layout and outlook separately. A sea view, outside space and an extra sleeping area solve different needs, so use the exact room description rather than the hotel’s leading photograph. On dining, allow for both hotel meals and independent evenings in Kato Paphos. If you choose a meal plan, check which restaurants it covers and whether reservations or supplements apply.
Days out that suit this base
Start with a waterfront morning and a relaxed meal near the harbour. Put the Old Town into a separate half-day, leaving space for the return journey. A boat trip can be a useful contrast to hotel days, but distinguish a departure from Paphos harbour from a Blue Lagoon excursion that travels towards Latchi. Confirm the actual meeting point before planning breakfast and departure times.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Compare the room, not just the hotel.
Compare children’s club charges, room occupancy and pool access for your party. For a quieter stay, choose the room and facilities deliberately rather than assuming the hotel excludes children.
