Annabelle or Almyra: choose the hotel, then the room
Choose Annabelle for a more traditional resort setting; choose Almyra for a contemporary design-led stay. Their neighbouring seafront locations make room choice and pool access more useful deciding factors than distance to the harbour.
| Your plan | Our starting recommendation | The important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Classic hotel atmosphere | Annabelle | Compare the precise room and board basis. |
| Contemporary design | Almyra | An Inland View room has no outdoor space. |
| Winter family swimming | Examine Almyra’s named heated pools | Pool arrangements differ by pool, age and season. |
Start with the holiday you want, not the shorter walk
Annabelle and Almyra sit next to one another on the Kato Paphos seafront. Both make sense for a holiday mixing hotel time with harbour outings and restaurant evenings. There is little value in choosing between them solely to save a few minutes on a walk: the atmosphere and the accommodation you can actually book deserve more attention.
Our starting recommendation is Annabelle if your idea of a holiday is a classic hotel with gardens and an established resort feel. Start with Almyra if you prefer a cleaner, contemporary design. These are editorial judgements about style, not a ranking of service or a claim to have stayed in every room. Neither is an adults-only hotel.
Compare like-for-like rooms
The entry-level rooms are not identical. Annabelle lists Inland View rooms at 24 square metres, with a maximum of two guests. Almyra lists Inland View rooms at 28 square metres, accommodating up to three, but without a balcony or terrace. A lower price or larger floor area does not automatically buy the outdoor space you picture using each morning.
Put the exact room category from each quote side by side. Record the occupancy, bed arrangement, outdoor space, view and cancellation conditions. For a couple who spends evenings outside, a terrace may matter more than four extra square metres indoors. For three people, permitted occupancy comes before décor.
Families should resolve the room arrangement first
Both hotels accommodate families. A family travelling with older children should decide whether one shared room, connected rooms or a suite is acceptable before comparing the total. “Family friendly” does not tell you whether bedroom doors connect or whether a child sleeps on an extra bed in the parents’ room.
For a larger party, use our family-room guide to narrow the named arrangements, then obtain a quote for the full group and children’s ages. Do not build a comparison from two adults’ rates and assume the extra people can be added later.
For a winter stay, choose the pool you will use
Almyra publishes seasonal heating for its main and children’s outdoor pools, from 15 November to 30 April. That is a more useful winter-family detail than simply knowing that a hotel has a spa. Other pools have different arrangements, so a photograph of an infinity pool is not evidence that it will be warm.
Annabelle’s indoor spa swimming is an adult option rather than a substitute children’s pool. If swimming decides the booking, identify the specific pool, the dates and the permitted ages in the selected arrangement. Our heated-pool guide separates those cases so you can compare them without treating every pool as interchangeable.
Keep meals and the final price in the same comparison
Price both hotels for the same nights, occupants and cancellation terms. Add the board basis you will actually use. A room-only quote and a half-board quote can look like a large hotel-price difference when part of that difference is dinner.
For a week of independent restaurant evenings, avoid paying for meals you already intend to miss. For a quieter hotel-centred break, included meals may make the week easier. Choose the hotel and room first, then use the rate conditions to decide which offer is better value for your particular stay.
