Sofianna Resort & Spa: plan your stay
Sofianna combines a resort-style holiday with an inland address in Kato Paphos. It is a useful choice when your family wants pools and organised hotel time, but you also want to explore the harbour side of town during the week.

A good fit for
Families who want a central Paphos base with resort facilities and different room layouts.
Worth weighing up
This is not a beachfront hotel. A beach outing and a pool afternoon are different plans.
An inland base for Kato Paphos
Sofianna sits within Kato Paphos rather than on its beachfront hotel strip. Build your first outing around the harbour, nearby historic streets and waterfront, then return for time at the resort. The Old Town is a separate, uphill part of Paphos. Choose one area for each outing instead of assuming everything described as central Paphos belongs to the same short walk.
Choose a sleeping layout that works
The room selection includes doubles and twins, suites and larger family arrangements, with selected swim-up categories. Start with the number of separate sleeping spaces you need. A larger open room can work differently from two bedrooms when children go to bed early. Confirm the beds for additional guests and the precise layout of the category shown in your booking; a photograph of another suite is not enough.
Pools and children’s facilities
Family outdoor pools, an indoor pool and a children’s splash area offer several ways to spend a day at the hotel. Children’s clubs and splash facilities have age rules and seasonal schedules. Check these against the ages in your party before making them the reason for choosing Sofianna. Swim-up access also deserves thought with young children: convenient access to water adds a supervision consideration at your room.
Balance an inclusive stay with days out
All-inclusive accommodation can simplify meals, particularly on pool days. Before choosing a package, count how many lunches and evenings you expect to spend away. A harbour meal and a full-day excursion may be worthwhile even when food is included at the hotel; they simply belong in the overall holiday budget. Ask which restaurant visits need reservations and which drinks or services fall outside your selected rate.
Add a different kind of day
A short archaeology visit can complement a swimming-led week, while a boat trip offers a change of scene. Compare pickup arrangements before booking an excursion: collection may be from the hotel or a meeting point. If Aphrodite Waterpark is on your list, remember that it is a separate attraction with its own tickets; the resort’s splash facilities do not include admission there.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Compare the room, not just the hotel.
Confirm the sleeping layout, swim-up rules, children’s activity dates and dining inclusions. Check the indoor pool’s heating arrangements if that matters for your season.
