Alexander the Great Beach Hotel: plan your stay
Alexander the Great Beach Hotel is a useful middle ground for visitors who want facilities at the hotel and time out along the Paphos waterfront. Its location on the southern seafront makes harbour visits a natural part of the stay rather than the sole reason to choose it.

A good fit for
Couples and families who want a beachfront hotel with harbour outings and several dining options.
Worth weighing up
Some accommodation is reserved for adults, but the hotel as a whole is not adults-only.
Location on Poseidonos Avenue
The hotel is beside the beach on the southern side of Kato Paphos. Compare its map with Annabelle and Amavi to understand how far along the seafront you prefer to stay. It is a coastal base, not an Old Town address. For a beach-heavy holiday, compare the actual beachfront here with Coral Bay rather than assuming all hotels in Paphos offer the same shoreline.
Pools, beach time and a hotel afternoon
The facilities include outdoor pools and an indoor pool, with spa treatments and entertainment also available. This gives you options for a day when you do not want an organised excursion. If swimming is central to an autumn or winter trip, ask which pools operate and whether heating applies to your dates. A hotel’s full facility list describes its offering across the year, not necessarily every day.
Family rooms versus garden cabanas
The room selection includes family accommodation and adult-only Superior Garden Cabanas, with different outside-space options. Decide whether you need a family sleeping arrangement, a sea outlook or more private outdoor space before comparing prices. Read the maximum occupancy of the exact category and check whether a private pool belongs to the option you are booking, rather than another cabana shown in photographs.
Understanding the dining plan
Half Board and Full Board Plus options use a dine-around approach across several restaurant settings. Check which meals, drinks and speciality visits your rate includes, along with reservation and dress requirements. If you enjoy independent dining, leave enough uncommitted evenings to use the surrounding area; if easy hotel dinners are the priority, compare the plan with how long you are staying.
An itinerary that uses the location
Give the harbour and archaeological park a morning or afternoon together, then return for hotel time. Make the Old Town a separate outing with a clear way back. A Paphos harbour cruise offers a different day without necessarily adding the longer transfer involved in a Latchi departure; compare the meeting point, rather than just the photograph of the boat.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Compare the room, not just the hotel.
Check family occupancy, adult-only room restrictions and the exact dine-around entitlement. A sea-view room and a room with a private pool are separate choices.
