A town-centre base with a clear purpose
The main-square setting makes Polis itself part of your stay, rather than somewhere you drive to from a beach hotel. It works well when you want to spend an evening around town and return without planning another cross-district journey. Latchi, the coast and Paphos city are distinct destinations, so book this for a north-coast holiday rather than a harbour-based Paphos break.
Character is the reason to choose it
The listed building uses local stone and has a much smaller scale than the resort hotels. That can be attractive for a short break, but it is not a substitute for extensive leisure facilities. Compare the exact room and access arrangement: historic character does not tell you whether a particular bedroom requires stairs or provides the outside space you want.
Use the hotel as a base for separate outings
Give Latchi and a boat trip one day, then leave another day for a village or the Baths of Aphrodite side of the coast. A cruise with collection from Paphos city is not automatically the right product from Polis. Choose a direct Latchi departure or a confirmed local pickup, keeping the return to town straightforward.
