The beach and Latchi harbour are separate outings; the address is Polis, not central Paphos.
Town convenience before beachfront convenience
The family-run property describes itself as a short walk from the centre, with the beach around a kilometre away and Latchi around three kilometres away. Those are orientation distances, not guaranteed walking routes. Choose Mariela if being near Polis matters more than waking beside a harbour departure point.
Studio or one bedroom is the main decision
The accommodation includes studios and one-bedroom apartments. A separate bedroom is useful when someone sleeps earlier or when a longer stay benefits from a living area. Before comparing prices, decide how you will use the space: a compact studio can suit two people spending most days out, while a family may value the extra separation.
Keep meals flexible
Room-only stays are available with breakfast as an addition. That allows you to choose between an easy start at the property and independent meals around Polis. Compare the total for the meal basis you will actually use. Apartment-style accommodation is a reason to examine the cooking setup, not to assume every kitchen appliance is included in every category.
A north-coast week without too many transfers
Use pool time between outings to Latchi, the coast and nearby villages. If you want a Blue Lagoon cruise, start by comparing departure-only options from Latchi rather than a package collecting from Paphos city. For one southern sightseeing day, combine the harbour and archaeological park, then return without trying to add Coral Bay as well.
