Panklitos Tourist Apartments: plan your stay

Panklitos is a practical option when you want a simple apartment and intend to spend much of the holiday exploring. Choose it for self-catering and the position between the upper town and the Tombs of the Kings corridor. Choose elsewhere if a seafront setting or a full resort programme is essential.

A good fit for

Independent couples and families comparing apartment space and total cost rather than resort facilities.

Worth weighing up

An inland base; cooling charges and extra sleeping arrangements can change the value of the headline room rate.

A town base with two directions to explore

Panklitos is inland from Tombs of the Kings Avenue and below the Old Town. This makes the upper town a sensible outing in its own right, while the coastal road connects your plans towards the harbour or Coral Bay. It is not a harbour-front apartment. Group restaurants and sightseeing by area, rather than repeatedly walking between the upper town and waterfront simply because both are labelled Paphos. Budget for a ride home when returning with shopping or tired children.

Studios, one bedroom or two bedrooms

The operator lists studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments. Studios combine beds with the kitchenette; larger apartments separate bedrooms from the lounge. Additional occupants may use sofa or folding beds, so a maximum occupancy should not be read as that many permanent beds in private bedrooms. A couple mostly out during the day may be content with a studio. A family spending evenings in is more likely to benefit from a separate living room.

The kitchen makes the saving more useful

The published kitchen equipment includes a fridge, gas rings and an oven. That gives you more flexibility than a room with only a kettle: breakfast, a picnic preparation or a straightforward evening meal can be part of the plan. Start with the meals you genuinely want to make. Booking a larger apartment solely to save on food is unlikely to help if everyone intends to eat out for every meal anyway.

Compare the cooling cost and pool expectation

There is an outdoor pool and sun terrace, useful for a pause between outings. Air conditioning and heating are available, but some booking channels list an additional charge. Compare the total for your chosen apartment and stay, including how many units are covered, rather than treating cooling as automatically included. Do not assume heated outdoor swimming in winter. A pool-led family holiday calls for a different comparison from an apartment used mainly for sleeping and breakfast.

Keep arrival and the first day simple

The booking listing asks for an arrival time and describes self-check-in instructions for arrivals outside its check-in hours. Obtain those instructions before the flight if arriving late. For the first full day, choose the Old Town or Tombs of the Kings, then return for a break. Leave the harbour and Archaeological Park for another outing. This uses the location more sensibly than beginning every day with the same journey to the waterfront.
