Where the hotel sits
Aquamare is on the Geroskipou coastal side of Paphos, among the southern waterfront hotels. This location makes a hotel-and-coast routine more natural than an Old Town routine. Decide which places you want to visit frequently before choosing it. Harbour attractions, the inland town and Coral Bay should be treated as different outings, not a single neighbourhood surrounding the hotel.
Standard rooms and larger options
The accommodation range includes standard and superior rooms, family suites and larger suite categories. Standard rooms have different outlooks, including inland, side-sea and sea views. Compare the booked view alongside the bed arrangement rather than using the most impressive room photograph as your benchmark. If connecting rooms are important, have them confirmed; a request is not the same as a guaranteed connection.
Swimming and spa time
Outdoor and indoor swimming facilities, a children’s pool, a spa and a gym add options beyond the beach. The gym has a minimum-age rule, and spa treatments should be budgeted separately unless specifically included. For a cooler-season visit, ask about pool heating and opening arrangements. The presence of an indoor pool alone does not establish its temperature or availability during your dates.
Choose the right pace for a family stay
A family suite may make evenings easier when one person wants to rest before everyone else. Balance that extra space against how much time you expect to spend indoors. For daytime plans, a relaxed pool morning followed by a short outing can be easier than combining the harbour, Old Town and a beach change. Leave time for meals and transport rather than filling every gap.
When to book an excursion
A boat trip or a countryside tour offers a contrast to the waterfront. Look for pickup that explicitly covers your hotel or gives a clear nearby meeting point. The Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark is also on the southern side of town, but it is independently operated and separately ticketed. Check the season and participation rules before making it the main family outing.
