Latchi is the starting point
Allow for the road journey from your accommodation to Latchi and time to meet the rental team. A listing in the Paphos region does not mean the boat leaves from Paphos harbour or includes hotel collection. Arrange your return before setting off, particularly if you will rely on a taxi. The hire period is time on the boat, not a reliable estimate of the whole outing from your hotel.
Be clear about who will drive
An advertisement saying no boat licence is needed does not remove the operator’s hiring rules or the need for a proper briefing. Confirm the minimum driver age, identification, experience assessment, deposit and any damage liability for your booking. Ask how the controls, boundaries, anchoring and emergency contact procedure will be explained. If nobody in your group wants that responsibility, compare a captained private charter instead.
Fuel changes the final cost
Both selected rentals charge used fuel separately. Compare the hire price, fuel arrangement and any optional driver or equipment charges as one budget. Ask how fuel use is measured and paid for, and what happens if weather prevents the planned outing. A longer rental gives you more flexibility but does not mean you should travel farther; the permitted area and the day’s conditions set the practical limits.
Let the water set the pace
Plan a modest route with time to enjoy a stop and return comfortably. Blue Lagoon photographs do not establish that conditions will suit swimming or that every bay is accessible on your date. Follow the operator’s local instructions about safe stopping places and equipment. Confirm boarding arrangements and suitable life jackets for children in advance. Take drinking water and sun protection, and keep valuables protected from spray.
